Contract of Sale
No contract for the sale of goods shall arise until the customer has paid the purchase price and all additional charges in full.
The risk in goods shall pass to the customer when the contract of sale is made.
Orders
A deposit of 50% is to be paid on placement of any order where items may be subject to delayed delivery.
This will include any bespoke items which may take several months to be manufactured and shipped to the customer.
Terms and conditions for trade orders will be dealt with on an individual basis with trade buyers.
Payment
All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling and do not include any speciality packaging, shipping costs or local taxes.
We accept personal cheques drawn in Pounds Sterling on a UK bank, and bank/wire transfers.
We also accept payment by all major credit & debit cards including American Express.
International cheques, bank/wire transfers and payment in currencies other then Pounds Sterling may be subject to a bank charge.
All retails prices quoted are inclusive of 17.5% VAT. Trade prices may be quoted excluding VAT however this will be chargeable.
Delivery
Goods will be shipped when we receive payment in full, including postage and packing charges.
We will always make an effort to have your goods delivered as soon as possible but will not be held responsible for delays that
are beyond our control such as shipping company delays or related issues.
Whilst we will make every reasonable effort to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out at any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.
Delivery of the goods shall be made to your address and you agree to make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.
If your goods will be delivered later than expected we will inform you immediately.
Returns
From the day after you receive your goods, you have 7 working days to cancel your order. You may be charged for the cost of returning the item. The item purchase price will be refunded within 30 days of cancellation. The initial shipping cost will only be refunded if an item has been grossly misrepresented.
David James Teak Direct want you to be fully happy and satisfied with your purchase. If you are not fully satisfied, please email or call us as soon as possible before you return the item so we can work out the best route of return.
Your Privacy
We will not share customer or visitor details with any third party, nor send unsolicited mail to any visitor using this web site.
Law
These conditions shall be construed in accordance with English law.
